Even though I’ve been in online marketing for over three and half years I sometimes wonder what the big dogs are thinking. Of course I get all the emails from people like Perry Marshall, John Reeese, Ann Sieg, Rosalind Gardner, Frank Kern, Jeff Mulligan and lots of others. That helps but sometimes they are talking about specific strategies or channels so it’s more like talking to someone in the tank and not in the helicopter. Sometimes I want the perspective of someone in the helicopter and get that 10,000 foot view.
Well I just got something that falls into that category that I thought might be helpful to all. This came from Shawn Collins who has been in online marketing, particularly affiliate marketing, for over 10 years so he knows a bit about the subject. He runs Affiliate Summit which is the largest trade show in affiliate marketing.
Anyway he did this presentation in New York to some beginners and I thought what he had to say was interesting. One of his main points was that if he was going to get into affiliate marketing now what he would do is start a niche blog using WordPress. Interesting eh…
