Hi everyone- Rick just did a test idea this morning with Gene and I as the Acrobat Connect guinea pigs (so to speak). He’s thinking of trying to find some better ways to get the video and audio out to everyone who can’t be there in person.
Our next meeting is for the Advanced group and takes place at the Tampa Bay Computer Society in Clearwater (our usual spot at the usual time 1:00 PM- 3:00 PM or so on the Sunday after Easter). Rick will let us know for sure what he plans to cover, but a few of us (Rick, me and Larry) have had some discussions.
Larry had a good idea that the ones who will be attending the meeting on the 19th plan to come with some ideas in hand for topics which might then be arranged in some sort of way that they could be tied together or built on as the meetings went forward- some sort of logical order and a plan that keeps the Basic and the Advanced group moving forward and connected too. We were thinking that if folks knew what the meetings would be about we could get the word out better and stir up interest, plus, those who came could be prepared to share info that could help everyone or bring questions about the topic that would generate good discussion.
We’ll talk about all this more at the meeting of course.
Just because the meeting is slated as the Advanced Group, it doesn’t mean that you have to be an advanced user to attend, but just means that the topics and solutions discussed are more of an advanced nature.
I am trying to talk Rick into doing an advanced meeting totally devoted to affiliate marketing, since he is an affiliate expert and there is much we could all learn from him on the topic. In case you didn’t already know Rick was the Affiliate Manager for Sitesell, so has a wealth of knowledge to share with us on this topic. We’re so lucky!
Can as many of you comment as possible with ideas that you would like to see covered at the meetings? It can be helpful for Rick to decide what might be good to do as a meeting or an online class. Since the classes and meetings will hopefully soon include a better way to to get audio and video out to all of you, we’d love to hear ideas from you in the larger group outside of the local area as well.
